My father spent parat of his life as a carpenter and I have always enjoyed working with wood.
My woodworking has taken many forms... from furniture pieces to mailboxes to plaques and signage.
Below are a few examples of things I enjoyed making in wood.

Corn Hole game set for good friends, the Walters, Yachats, Oregon, Christmas 2020.
Lynn and I built the boards, I designed and painted the graphics, and Lynn painted the base, final seal, and made the bags.

Redwood name plaques for my grandchildren to celebrate both their uniqueness and their place in Chamberlin history, Yachats, Oregon, Christmas 2020.
Each plaque has a historic indianhead cent routed into the surface dated exactly 100 years before each of their births.
The plaque was made from a handmade redwood bedstead (see below) that I had made in 1974 for the bed in which their fathers were conceived.
Each name plaque also came with several pieces of documentation:
a genealogical chart tracing their Chamberlin family ancestors directly back to Henry Chamberlin in Highham, Massachusetts, in 1638;
a copy of David Conrad Chamberlin's research on the original Henry Chamberlin;
a history of their given (first) name and a list of famous people who shared it;
a history of the indianhead cent;
a history of the redwood tree.

Interior cabinetwork for 1978 Dodge van, Burbank, California, USA, 1978.
The interior was designed with simulated leather (vinyl) upholstery, walls, and celing, and tied together with handmade redwood cabinets.
At the time of this photo, the seat-matching vinyl ceiling had not been installed.
